Meet Grace Flink

Grace is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-Associate), in the state of Texas, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC), under the supervision of Dee C. Ray, PhD, LPC-S, NCC, RPT-S. Grace earned her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus in play therapy at the University of North Texas, home of the largest play therapy training and research program in the world. In addition to specialized training in play therapy, Grace’s education and experiences include activity therapy, adolescent counseling, expressive arts, and Child-Parent Relationship Therapy.

Grace works with individuals across the lifespan who are seeking counseling for a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and trauma. Grace previously worked with children, teens, and young adults impacted by adverse childhood experiences, and she has a passion for helping them and their families move forward together. Grace has supported client’s feelings of connectedness through facilitating groups for children with similar experiences and increasing attachment between children and parents in Child-Parent Relationship Therapy.

In her free time, Grace enjoys baking, reading, and playing video games. Grace has a deep love for the outdoors and finds ways to spend time outside through going for walks, hiking in state parks, and rock climbing.

Grace's Counseling Approach

Grace uses a person-centered counseling approach that focuses on creating a strong therapeutic relationship between counselor and client to facilitate a warm, non-judgmental environment in which clients are comfortable to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Grace believes that every individual possesses the inherent capacity for self-discovery and growth. Through genuine empathy and active listening, Grace aims to empower clients to tap into their own inner resources to move towards healing. Grace strives to meet each client where they are and offers developmentally appropriate mediums to do so.
